Each half term the work that the children in each year group do will be based around a specific area. This is usually presented to the children as a question such as:
• What was apartheid?
• What makes a villain or a hero?
• What was life like for children during World War II?
• What is the importance of light?
• How has life changed in London since the Great Fire?
• Why do we need plants?
Each unit of work will make specific links across a range of curriculum areas which enables the children to deepen their understanding of the subject. Classes are also taken on educational visits linked to the unit to give them first hand experience of an aspect of the learning.
Each half term these pages are updated to give you a flavour of what they have been learning.
